Where does the name Askov Finlayson come from?
Our name comes from two neighboring towns in Northern Minnesota. Askov and Finlayson share a highway exit that Andrew and Eric passed countless times growing up on the way to and from their family cabin, one of their favorite places on earth. On the way up, the sign reads Finlayson Askov. And on the way down, it reads Askov Finlayson. It’s fair, and that’s the best part.

What is the relationship between Askov Finlayson, The Bachelor Farmer, and Marvel Bar?
All three businesses are owned by Andrew Dayton and Eric Dayton. Prior to opening Askov Finlayson, Andrew and Eric bought and restored the historic building that houses our store. The building is also home to The Bachelor Farmer, a Nordic restaurant, and Marvel Bar, a basement cocktail bar. Askov Finlayson carries a number of items that The Bachelor Farmer’s chefs and Marvel Bar’s bartenders find useful.
Do you sell gift cards?
At this time, Askov Finlayson gift cards can be purchased online but may only be redeemed in our store in Minneapolis. Gift cards are shipped standard USPS (United States only) and shipping is complimentary; express delivery is available for an additional charge. Askov Finlayson gift cards do not expire.

How do your Askov Finlayson pants run?
We know how important it is to get the right fit, so we offer an expanded range of sizes. We have also included a detailed measurement chart below so you can be confident your Vermilion Pant will fit as expected the first time you try them on. The best way to determine your Askov Finlayson size is to measure a pair of pants you already own and that fit you well, and then compare those measurements with the ones listed below.
Unlike many other brands, Askov Finlayson pants are not vanity sized, so you will likely need to select a larger size than you’re used to. Expect the waistband to be slightly snug to start but be assured that our pants will relax slightly with wear and contour to your body over time. Our Explorer Pant is made of unwashed Japanese Cotton Canvas, which means your pant will relax slightly and become customized to your body over time, similar to raw denim. To maintain an ideal fit, we recommend machine washing your pants in cold water, then hanging them to dry.

Orders & Shipping
Orders are shipped Monday through Friday. We’re a small company and we appreciate your patience as we carefully pack your orders. All orders placed by 11am CST will typically ship out that same day. All orders placed after 11am CST will ship out the next business day. Orders received on weekends and holidays will be processed and shipped the following business day.
For orders placed on Dec. 20, select USPS Priority or better to guarantee delivery by Christmas.
All shipments within the United States are sent by UPS or USPS. We provide complimentary shipping on all orders over $100.
We’re happy to offer In-Store Pickup as an option for our local customers. Simply select In-Store Pickup at checkout and you will receive an email as soon as your order is ready. Please bring a copy of your order and a photo ID to the store to pick up your order.
We ship our products worldwide. To receive a shipping quote, enter your shipping details at checkout and you will be provided with shipping options before finalizing your order. If you have any questions or would like to discuss more economical shipping options, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. All international orders must be paid for using PayPal.
Kindly note that you may be responsible for import duties and taxes on your international order. In addition, some orders may experience customs delays. Unfortunately, we have no control over these charges or delays and cannot predict what they may be. We suggest that you contact your local customs office for additional information.
To Check the Status of Your Order
As soon as your order is dispatched, you will be sent an email to confirm that it's on the way. If you still have questions, you can check the status of your order by contacting us at email@example.com and we will respond within 24 hours Monday through Friday.
To Change or Cancel Your Order
Please send change requests to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will be happy to make changes to your order as long as it has not yet been shipped.

We accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and Paypal.
State sales tax of 7.775% will only be charged on applicable items shipped within Minnesota. No tax will be charged to orders shipped outside of Minnesota.
We offer complimentary gift packaging, which includes the option of a handwritten note on our stationary. Please add any gift or note requests in the comments section at checkout; we are always happy to help do something special.
Returns & Exchanges
We want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase, and we understand that sometimes a return is necessary. We will gladly accept returns within 14 days of delivery or exchanges within 30 days of delivery for online purchases. All sale items are final sale. We will gladly provide complimentary returns or exchanges for our own brand of Askov Finlayson product.
How to Return an Item
Please send your return request to email@example.com with your order number and the list of items you would like to return. Upon receiving a confirmation email with a return authorization form, please send your original merchandise, unwashed and unworn, with all tags attached to us at the address below. We happily accept returns within 14 days of receiving your purchase. Sale items are non-returnable.

How to Exchange an Item
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request authorization of your exchange and confirmation that your desired size and item for exchange are in stock. Upon receiving a confirmation email and exchange authorization form, please send your original merchandise, unwashed and unworn, with all tags attached to the address below. We happily accept exchanges within 30 days of receiving your purchase.

Take Note: Askov Finlayson will not accept responsibility for reimbursement or compensation of lost packages without proof of delivery. When your return is received, we will credit the card used to make the original purchase. We will process your return immediately but the time it takes for the refund to post to your account may vary depending on your bank and/or credit card company. Most refunds post within 48 hrs.
Return & Exchange Conditions
Items must be returned unworn, unwashed, undamaged, unused, and with all original tags attached. All sale items are final sale.
We take quality seriously. Every component of our Askov Finlayson products were designed and selected for their durability. And we want you to be as confident in the quality of our products as we are. So in the unlikely case that you encounter a problem with the construction of our Askov Finalyson products – from a faulty seam to a lost button – we will address it immediately. Please email us at email@example.com with a brief description of the issue and photos, if possible. Upon receipt, we'll work quickly to determine the best course of action and get back to you with a plan.
